In Horrified: World of Monsters, players find themselves in an arcane-punk town perched on the edge of the Void, a gateway to worlds beyond our own from which terrifying creatures emerge. As one of Earth’s most skilled monster experts, you’re summoned to protect the townsfolk from an array of legendary creatures.

This standalone game builds upon the mechanics of the original Horrified (2019). Here, you’ll confront four iconic foes: the Sphinx, whose riddles must be solved to weaken her; the Yeti, who moves unpredictably through the snowy outskirts of town; the Jiangshi, preying on the living and, for the first time in the series, the Great Old One himself, Cthulhu. Each monster presents players with different puzzle-like challenges rooted in lore. You can tackle them individually or in various combinations.

The presence of Cthulhu introduces an exciting new element to the game: a multi-phase puzzle. To overcome the Great Old One, players must first tackle challenges in the realm of World of Monsters and then enter Cthulhu's own twisted dimension, making this encounter a dynamic, two-part struggle.

Players must work cooperatively to gather item tokens, protect citizens, and avoid attacks, solving each monster’s puzzle to emerge victorious. Horrified: World of Monsters also includes rules for mixing these foes with those in Horrified: Greek Monsters!
