First introduced as a flagship in the S2 line, the Standard 24 carries the DNA of its Core Series ancestor—the Custom 24—but pares it back for players who prefer substance over flash. The 24-fret layout and all-mahogany construction recall PRS’s early 1980s roots, while its USA-made electronics and satin finish embrace both evolution and efficiency.

The body is carved entirely from mahogany, stripped of any maple cap in favor of direct, mid-forward resonance. Its satin nitro finish is thin enough to resonate freely while still protecting the instrument from wear. The matching mahogany neck features a Pattern Regular carve—comfortable and traditional, with enough shoulder to accommodate both chord work and fast lead runs. A rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets and PRS bird inlays sits atop a 25" scale, offering familiar PRS proportions and easy access to the full range.

Two Maryland-wound 58/15 LT pickups provide vintage-leaning output with tight low end and articulate highs, paired to a 5-way blade switch that gives access to split-coil and full-humbucker tones alike. Volume and tone knobs offer straightforward control without added complexity. It’s an old-school layout with modern wiring flexibility under the hood.
