PRODUCT DETAILS

fl5The Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs are a premium third-party suspension upgrade tailored for the 2023+ Honda Civic Type R (FL5). These springs lower your Type R by 1.0" in front and 0.7" in rear (up to 1.5" with some setups), enhancing handling and giving it a sportier stance without sacrificing too much daily comfort. Here’s what you need to know to decide if this kit fits your FL5 and driving goals.

What’s Included

  • Springs: Set of 4, made from high-tensile (Hi-Ten) steel, cold-formed and shot-peened for durability.
  • Drop: Front: 1.0" (25mm), Rear: 0.7" (18mm)—tested with factory FL5 dampers; may reach 1.5" with aftermarket setups.
  • Design: Progressive spring rates (softer at rest, firmer under load) for a balance of street comfort and performance.
  • Warranty: Eibach’s million-mile warranty covers manufacturing defects (not wear or misuse).

Compatibility Details

  • Vehicle: Fits 2023+ Honda Civic Type R (FL5 chassis, FWD, 2.0L turbo K20C1 engine).
  • Transmission: Compatible with the FL5’s 6-speed manual—no issues with auto or other Civic trims.
  • Dampers: Designed for factory FL5 dampers; works with stock adaptive suspension.
  • Not Compatible: Non-Type R Civics (e.g., Si, EX), pre-2023 models, or heavily modified setups needing custom rates.

Performance & Features

  • Handling: Lowers the center of gravity, reducing body roll in corners, squat during acceleration, and dive under braking—improves grip and steering response for a sportier feel.
  • Appearance: Cuts fender gap by 1.0"-1.5" for a sleek, aggressive look—still clears most curbs and driveways on stock 19" wheels.
  • Ride Quality: Firmer than stock but milder than race springs (e.g., Eibach Sportline); comfortable for daily driving, less so on rough roads or with max track use.
  • Fuel Efficiency: Slight MPG gains possible from reduced drag, but not a key benefit—varies by driving style.
  • Bonus: Integrates with Eibach Pro-Plus kits if paired with sway bars (sold separately).

Installation Considerations

  • Skill Level: Professional install recommended—2-4 hours with a spring compressor; DIY possible with experience.
  • Alignment: Rear camber kit (e.g., Eibach 5.67476K) optional for perfect alignment, especially with larger wheels or track focus—check post-install.
  • Fitment Check: Tested with FL5 factory dampers; aftermarket shocks may alter drop or ride (verify compatibility).
  • Note: Non-returnable once installed—confirm your FL5 specs before buying.

Is This the Right Kit for You?

  • Yes, if: You own a 2023+ Civic Type R (FL5), want a sporty stance and better handling for daily driving with occasional track days, and don’t mind a firmer ride.
  • No, if: You have a non-Type R Civic, need max comfort for rough roads, or want a bigger drop (try Eibach Sportline for 1.2"/0.9").

Quick Checklist Before Buying

  1. Model & Year: 2023+ Honda Civic Type R (FL5)?
  2. Chassis: FL5 only (check VIN or under hood)?
  3. Engine: Stock 2.0T K20C1?
  4. Goal: Mild drop (1.0"-1.5") for street/light track, not hardcore racing?
  5. Budget: Ready for install (~$200-$300) and optional alignment (~$100)?

Why We Chose It

We picked this kit for its tailored fit to the FL5—Eibach’s Hi-Ten steel and progressive design enhance the Type R’s handling without making it a harsh daily driver. It’s a practical upgrade for street enthusiasts or light track users, backed by a million-mile defect warranty. Match it to your FL5, and enjoy a tighter, sharper ride.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
