Have fun watching the shoots grow in the comfort of your own kitchen. You can harvest them in a matter of days. Sprouts and shoots are the perfect accompaniment to a well-balanced diet at any time of the year and are a great source of vitamins and minerals. What better way to look after your health and at the same time protect the environment and its natural resources!

Description:

The modest little bioSnacky seeds quickly grow into fresh shoots and sprouts that provide both food and vitality, as well as tasting delicious. This natural nourishment is in its original unchanged form.

BioSnacky shoots and sprouts contain unique concentrations of valuable enzymes, proteins, mineral substances, trace elements and natural vitamins.

They also contain excellent fibre materials that are beneficial to the intestines and regulate the digestive process. These seedlings are a welcome addition to a variety of dishes and a delight to the eye, as well as the palate.

Use your shoots and sprouts on bread, toss them into crunchy salads. Or fry them gently in olive oil when preparing tasty casseroles, pancakes, omelette or rissoles; add them to soups, dips, muesli, pasta, rice, vegetables, fish and meat dishes.

Directions for Use:

The bioSnacky Glass Sprouter comprises of

  • one Glass Sprouting Jar
  • one twist off sieve lid with stand

Size: 9cm x 14 cm holds 650mL

Getting Started:

  1. Soaking

Rinse glass jar, lid and desired seeds thoroughly under cold running water.  Place the required amount of seeds (different seeds require different quantities) in the glass sprouter and cover with cold water. Allow seeds to soak for required time (Refer to the seed table below for details)

  1. Rinsing

Turn the glass sprouter upside down emptying all water from the sprouter. Rinse the seeds with fresh cold water and empty immediately.   Remove the lid and rinse separately with fresh cold water. The more thoroughly you rinse the sprouter and seeds, the more you will improve conditions for growth of the shoots and sprouts.   After rinsing, replace the sieve lid and tilt the sprouter upside down using the stand to angle the sprouter to ensure that all the water can drain away (it is best to place the sprouter on a shallow bowl or similar object for this.

  1. Placement

Place your Glass Sprouter in a warm (18-22° C), light position away from direct sunlight.

  1. Growing

Rinse your seedlings 1-2 times per day (Refer to the seed table below for details). Gently agitate the seedlings in the Glass Sprouter regularly in order to separate them. Avoid the build up of too much water or moisture.

  1. Harvesting

Your live shoots and sprouts are ready for harvesting within 2-5 days; herbage plants - like Alfalfa - will be ready in 6-8 days (Refer to the seed table below for details).

After harvesting, clean your Glass Sprouter thoroughly with a mixture of water and vinegar and allow to dry naturally. Both the jar and sieve lid are dishwasher safe (up to 85C).

2nd time purchasing this item. The 1st one lasted 2 years, but my boat hasn't been used a lot either. The marine mechanic who replaced it for me said it was definitely time to replace it. He said it fits and works just fine. Has good water flow. As for quality and value, I'd say decent. The price is better than an OMC OEM pump. I plan on using my boat more this year, so we'll see how it holds up. I'll get it replaced at the end of the year. Ease of installation, NOT EASY. The lower unit has to be completely removed from the outboard. Some outboard are easier than others and as old as this one is, it's probably easier than some of the newer ones. I've watched a couple of videos on YouTube on how to do it and I might try to do it myself next time. It cost $360 to have it done and that's with me supplying the pump. He said it took him about 1½hours to do the job, but I was charged for 3 hours labor. Probably what the book shows. I'd buy it again and I'll try to do the job myself.
