Description
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was a distinctive American fighter aircraft of the Second World War, recognised for its mid-engine layout and tricycle landing gear. While widely used in combat across multiple theatres, the type was also adapted for specialised reconnaissance duties where low-level performance and stability were essential.

This reconnaissance-configured P-39 Airacobra represents aircraft fitted with an under-fuselage camera installation used for tactical photo-reconnaissance missions. These aircraft provided valuable frontline intelligence in support of Allied operations in the Pacific, Caribbean, and US coastal regions.

This 1/48 scale kit from Arma Hobby features highly detailed modern tooling with finely engineered injection-moulded parts. The kit includes canopy and wheel masks, a 3D-printed reconnaissance camera set, and a fuselage cutting template to assist with accurate installation of the camera equipment.
