Near by a little bird was chirping, unaware of the destructive storm that threatened to dash it to pieces. I wanted to protect the little bird, to hold it safe in my strong hands. I watched a black sandstorm sweep over the Kansas prairies. Near by a little bird was chirping, unaware of the destructive storm that threatened to dash it to pieces. I wanted to protect the little bird, to hold it safe in my strong hands. But just before the storm struck, the bird turned to face it, and lifting its wings it flew right into the fury of the storm! As I turned to the safety of a storm cellar, the bird disappeared high above the storm that had seemed destined to crush it to death. The bird mounted up with wings over the storm and went higher than it could ever have gone in any other way.

This is what the New Testament is all about. This is what the gospel is all about. This is what this book is trying to say to you. You can use adversity and tragic experiences as a means of growth and soar higher than you ever could have gone without them. Learn how to wait upon the Lord, and you too can have wings over life.
