Van Alvaro werd verwacht dat hij naar Bordeaux ging om wijnbouw te studeren. Via een stage op Chateau Petrus raakte hij geboeid door de bijzondere terroir en de grootsheid van de wijn. Na zijn studie koos hij niet naar het familiedomein terug te keren maar zijn eigen weg te gaan. Hij sluit zich in 1989 aan bij enkele pioniers die de revival van de wijngaarden van Priorat nastreven. Priorat is een klein bergachtig gebied waar de Karthuizer monnikken de wijnbouw meer dan zes eeuwen lang hebben bedreven. De steile wijngaarden kunnen net als vroeger alleen met muilezels worden bewerkt, zeer arbeidsintensief. Alvaro bouwt een wijngoed op met wijngaarden als Gratallops, Finca Dofi en de absolute top: L'Ermita - een cultwijn. De belangrijkste druif in Priorat is de Garnacha met daarnaast de Samso. De bodem bestaat hoofdzakelijk it leisteen. Camins (paden) del Priorat staat voor hoe de diverse kleine wijngaardplots zijn verbonden. Deze plots zijn beplant met Garnache, Samso, Syrah en Cabernet Sauvignon: hieruit wordt de Camins del Priorat gemaakt. Na de handmatige oogst die niet meer oplevert dan 20 hl/ha. vindt de vinificatie plaats en daarna de rijping in Frans eiken vaten. De wijn is intens robijnrood en heeft aroma's zoals cassis en braam maar ook kruiden en zoethout. De smaak is vol met een zachte aanzet en een warme, kruidige afdronk.Met Camins del Priorat heeft Alvaro Palacios voor ogen uit kleine wijngaardplots - allen gelegen in de 5 beste gemeenten van de appellatie - een wijn te maken die door zijn zeer diverse onderliggende terroirs complexiteit heeft en duidelijk zijn afkomst toont. De opbrengst van de percelen is laag: slechts 20 hl/ha. Na vinificatie volgt rijping in Frans eigen vaten. De wijn is intens robijnrood en heeft zachte aroma's van cassis en braam maar ook kruiden en zoethout. De smaak is vol met een zachte aanzet en een warme, kruidige afdronk.Mediterraanse wijn van de beroemde wijnmaker Alvaro Palacios.Bij iberico ham en geroosterd rood vlees.Op steile hellingen. In this case, I was fortunate that my puppy did not experience any adverse effects after consuming the bone. However, it's crucial to exercise caution and ensure that your puppy doesn't ingest anything that could potentially be harmful.
Overall, while the Nylabone Puppy Treat Starter Pack has its upsides, I cannot ignore the fact that one of the bones failed to meet expectations in terms of durability. However, the other toys included in the pack provided a satisfactory experience for my puppy, and they have proven to be long-lasting. I would recommend this product with the caveat that you closely monitor your puppy's chewing habits and potentially avoid the bone that didn't hold up well in my particular case.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for teething puppies

I purchased the Nylabone puppy chew toys for my teething puppy, and they’ve been a big help. The toys are the perfect size for a young puppy and feel durable without being too hard.

Amazing for Heavy Chewers!

If you have a dog that destroys every toy in minutes, Benebone is a total game changer. These chews are incredibly durable and actually last—especially for strong or aggressive chewers. They’re made with real flavors like bacon, chicken, and peanut butter, which dogs absolutely love, and you can tell because they keep coming back to it again and again.

Excellent quality chews. Tiny Puppy size is perfect for adult toy breed dogs.

I bought the Tiny Puppy Bacon flavor 2-pack package of these, and my dog and his sister are obsessed with them. They chew on them multiple times every day. They seem to be fairly durable, although I expect they will break down over time, which is okay as it’s a chew. I like that they stay intact, with no chunks breaking off for the dogs to swallow. The dogs do ingest a small amount as the material breaks down, but I always supervise them when they have these, and there haven’t been any problems. It’s difficult to find good chews for toy breed dogs like our 12-pound Shih Tzus, so I was happy to find these. They are pricey, but I believe they are worth it. The dogs love to carry them around, and my little guy even plays with his chew sometimes like it’s a toy.
